27th Annual Dixon Lambtown Festival Coming October 5 & 6
The 27th Annual Dixon Lambtown Festival will be held on Saturday and
Sunday, October 5 & 6, 2013 at the Dixon
fairgrounds. Activities start at both days at 10 am and continue until 6 pm.
There will be music and dancing both days – on the Garden Stage, including:
Saturday, October 5
10:15 am - The Vaca Valley Ramblers Square Dancing with audience participation.
11:45 am to 1:30 pm – The USAF Jazz Ensemble – Band of the Golden West
2:00 pm to 3:45 – Sister Swing.
4:00 to 6 pm – the Terry Sheets Band
Sunday, October 6
10:00 to 11:45 am – The Fearless Gemstones – Folk and Blue Grass. They will also “Troubadour” around the grounds and in the buildings from noon to 2:00 pm
Noon to 1:45 pm – “Blessed Be”
2:00 to 3:45 pm – the Dixon High School Jazz Band
4:00 to 6:00 pm – Living Hope Band
The stage and sound are sponsored by Woodland HealthCare.
The Terry Sheets Band is sponsored by California Water Service.

Fiber Fair – wool and mohair on Saturday, Fine Fibers (cashmere, alpaca and angora) on Sunday;

Wool Show contests & sales;
Sheep Show - Market & Wool, sponsored by Superior Farms
Art Show with works by local and regional artists for sale.
A new feature this year will be operating antique farm engines.
There will be lots of Craft and other Vendors; Food Vendors featuring a variety of Lamb dishes, as well as fun carnival food.
Kids’ activities will include bounce houses, rock climbing; bungee swing (with all day wrist band passes available) as well as face painting and other fun events.
Great Drawings for a variety of prizes – Lamb-in-a-box, dozens of craft items and two spinning wheels.
Local non-profit groups may have a free information booth – depending on space available. They are asked to have a fun activity for the public at the booths.
There is still time to enter the BBQ Cook-off and other competitions – and even to be a vendor.
General Admission is only $3. Kids 13 and under $1.
Admission is free for children 5 and under – and also free for active military.
