Two new officers were sworn into the Dixon Police Department by Chief Robert Thompson at the last city council meeting, and welcomed by the mayor and city councilmen.

“Natalie Martinez is our 2nd fully-sponsored police academy graduate who was born and raised here in Dixon. She is our first native Dixonite that we sent to the academy,” said the chief.  “We also welcome Officer Elison Tyson who was a Sierra County deputy sheriff who wanted to upgrade to a police officer.” Photo by Debra Dingman
