DIXON, CA (MPG) - The Solano-Napa SBDC has an exciting month of trainings and events planned in March, including an in-person Money, Credit & Capital Summit on March 20 at the Solano Community College Vallejo campus.

Money, Credit & Capital Summit – March 20:

Join the Solano-Napa Small Business Development Center, NorCal VBOC, the City of Vallejo, and Solano Community College for a deep dive into the world of finance for small and large businesses.

Whether you are an existing or new business owner, you’ll find valuable resources at the Money, Credit & Capital Summit at Solano Community College’s Vallejo campus, 545 Columbus Parkway, in Vallejo.

The date of the event, March 20, also marks National Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Day, which recognizes the thousands of SBDC centers across the country supporting entrepreneurs in their pursuit of business ownership.

Start off the afternoon with free business trainings focused on social media marketing and finance.

Then, hear from both traditional and non-traditional lenders and learn more about Solano Biz-Grow, a new local revolving loan fund!

Grow Your Business with Etsy (Two-part online training series) – March 14 and March 21

Is selling products online for you? This two-part Lunch & Learn workshop series gives an overview and demo of Etsy. Join us if you are considering or planning to use Etsy or if you have started on the platform and want to learn more.

Part One: The Basics of Etsy - This session will include an overview of the platform, including what product/services to sell, the importance of offering options to build a customer base, and how working with Etsy can contribute to business growth and increased revenue.

Part Two: Etsy Demonstration - The demonstration will show you what the platform looks like from the seller’s end and walk you through the various steps and choices a business owner would make when selling on Etsy.

Transportation Procurement Series – Various Dates in March

-A comprehensive training series to prepare you to do business with major transportation agencies

-Learn about DBE/ACDBE certification

-Planning and research are key to successful contracting

-RFP – how to respond to invitation to procurement opportunities

-Have opportunities to attend networking events
