Dixon May Fair Offers Variety of Musical Shows

DIXON, CA (MPG) - There will be plenty of music for all ages at the Dixon May Fair. 

Among the musical acts featured is the ’60s Summer of Love, playing from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 8 at the Leber Garden Stage.

Groove to the electrifying ’60s Summer of Love that plays only classic ’60s music from The Beatles, Beach Boys and Aretha Franklin to Steppenwolf, Iron Butterfly and more. Summer of Love will perform all your favorite hits from the 1960s and they will be dressed accordingly.

On Saturday, May 10, celebrate the classic Country and Western sounds with Robby James and the Streets of Bakersfield from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Leber Garden Stage. The band, influenced by Buck Owens, Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash and others, has developed its own classic sound that have their audiences two-stepping, waltzing and line dancing.

Want to see future stars? Then check out the School of Rock Vacaville House Band from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, May 9. All members in the Rock Vacaville House Band are under 18.

The Maya Band performs from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 11 at the Lebar Stage. Maya performs a captivating blend of Latin and English music, specializing in popular crossover well-known hits. Maya pays homage to iconic movie soundtracks, such as Selena and La Bamba, infusing heartfelt tributes to popular legendary acts including Santana, Mark Anthony, Gloria Estefan and Celia Cruz and medleys that take listeners on a nostalgic journey through the Old School classics. Maya’s California Latin Sounds produce infectious energy and create an irresistible invitation to get on the dance floor and celebrate.

Also performing on Sunday, May 11 from 6 to 9 p.m. will be the Rhythm Method Trio. The Rhythm Method Trio’s repertoire flows from an “Epic 70s Medley” to “Footloose” by Kenny Loggins to more modern hits such as “Ex’s & Oh’s” by Elle King. TRM4 masterfully performs this diverse array of songs with stylish vocals and elegant harmonies.
