DIXON, CA (MPG) - Makenzie Jacobs is Soroptimist International of Dixon’s Young Woman of the Month. She was nominated by Maine Prairie High School Principal Angelina Arias.

Jacobs is the daughter of Natalie Vargas and Kyle Jacobs and has several siblings.

Jacobs has attended various schools in and outside of California. She attended Dixon High School in 10th-grade, then transitioned to Maine Prairie in 11th-grade and is now graduating in 2025 at 16 years old. Jacobs said that she is very proud of this accomplishment.

While in high school, Jacobs has participated in the leadership team, salmon project and Future Farmers of America (FFA).

Because of a Maine Prairie High School virtual reality program, Jacobs is now drawn to diesel mechanics as a possible career. She plans to join the Air Force to pursue this field.

Soroptimist International of Dixon members are very proud of Mackenzie and wish her the best in her future pursuits.
