Dixon Chamber of Commerce Monthlys Mixers - Come and meet other business people in Dixon and schmooze!! Mixers are hosted by various chamber business members. Cost is $5 for chamber members $10 for non-members.

AARP Income Tax Assistance

Volunteers from the AARP will help low or moderate income taxpayers, age 60 and older, complete basic income tax forms and answer tax questions. Volunteers will be at the Dixon Senior Center during tax season. Call 678-7022 to make an appointment.

Medicare System?

Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program, (HICAP) will help seniors sort out insurance questions and deal with Medicare. Program is funded by Calif. Dept. on Aging. Counselors are trained and registered with the state. For an appointment, call 800-303-4477.

Woodland Memorial Healthcare Scholarships Are Available

Awards are based on academic merit and a proven commitment to a health-related career. Scholarships range from $300 to $1100.

To qualify for scholarships for undergraduate work, candidates must:

1. Be a U.S. citizen.

2. Be from Woodland's service area, Yolo, Colusa, southern Sutter, and eastern Solano Counties.

3. Be able to demonstrate pursuing a career in a health-related field.

4. plan to carry a reasonable course load.

Applications are available at the Foundation office, 1321 Cottonwood Street, Woodland, and are due by 5pm on March 31, 2000. For more information, call 530-669-5386.
