Two distinctive hotel properties located on Duke University's campus, the JB Duke Hotel and Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club, are hosting a summer outdoor movie series that celebrates classic feature films across the decades, ranging from beloved romantic comedies, suspenseful thrillers and tales of adventure. Every Thursday during the month of August, join the Bull City properties for an intimate cinematic experience that is sure to make you laugh, cry and smile under the summer stars:

Thursday, August 10 @ JB Duke Hotel – A League of Their Own (PG)

Thursday, August 17 @ Washington Duke Inn – Jaws (PG)

Thursday, August 24 @ JB Duke Hotel – Roman Holiday (G)

Thursday, August 31 @ Washington Duke Inn – Raiders of the Lost Ark (PG)  

JB Duke Hotel guests will gather on the hotel’s contemporary, cozy MarketPlace Terrace. The showings at the Washington Duke Inn will take place on the property’s Terrace on the Green, overlooking the scenic Duke University Golf Course. Seating is available on both properties, but guests are invited to bring blankets for seating on the grass.

Local gourmet popcorn shop The Mad Popper will be on site selling its unique popcorn creations for attendees to enjoy during the showings. Guests are also invited to enjoy the hotels’ selection of specialty drinks and small bites throughout the evening.
