California Mural Conference and Workshop
Celebrate the Mural Arts with 2 Day Conference
Celebrate the mural arts October 11-12th in the thriving art community of Davis, CA. In an intimate setting, you can interact with the top mural artists in a way not possible at other venues. Davis has a rich history in the arts and in recent years it has received national attention for it's interactive public art walk. Enjoy delightful downtown Davis and be inspired by nationally recognized mural art talents. Demonstrations, lectures, presentations—no other event delivers more inspired knowledge of the mural arts for a better price. Meet face-to-face with distinguished mural artists you might only read about; see and hear from the artists what makes them top in their field. The conference provides a unique venue for artists to participate in panel discussions, attend lectures and witness the mural art walk led by some of the most exciting visionaries in the field, including John Pugh, Malaquias Montoya, Bill Maul, Guy Diehl, Kerry Rowland-Avrech, Myron Stephens, Joe Bellacera, Jennifer Pochinski, Victoria Smith, Ted Fontaine, John Natsoulas, Kelly Detweiler, and Alex Reisfar. The second day will include a hands on workshop by John Pugh. John Pugh is known for creating large trompe-l'oeil wall murals giving the illusion of a three-dimensional scene. He has been actively creating his murals since the 1970's. His work can bee seen throughout the United States, Taiwan and New Zealand. He is credited for creating the style known as "Narrative Illusionism".
