Dixon’s 150th Anniversary of the Fire Department on Saturday was a big draw for children who enjoyed getting inside helicopters, on top of fire trucks, do pretend rescues, and put out fires on plywood houses. Visitors got to see a couple antique fire trucks, demonstrate emergency procedures on mannequins, and explore other emergency vehicles including fire trucks, ambulances, and even helicopters.
