From Suisun Mayor to State Assemblywoman, Lori Wilson was sworn into office as the11th District’s new Assemblymember on April 6 after winning the special election following Jim Frazier’s retirement. She invited Dixon residents to learn what she hopes to do in the full 2-year term by stopping in on her Lawn Chair City Tour recently. She met with residents, Mayor Steve Bird, and Councilman Jim Ernest and his wife Kathy at Pardi Plaza. She is seeking a full two-year term and was recently elected Chair of the California Legislative Black Caucus and looks forward to working with her colleagues to uplift over two million Black residents living in California. From access to healthcare to housing and homelessness to criminal justice reform and creating economic opportunity, the CLBC has a long history of legislative accomplishments. "I am excited to build upon the past successes of the honorable leaders who have come before me as we move forward into the 2023-2024 Legislative Session," she said. Photo by Debra Dingman
