DIXON, CA (MPG) - Silveyville Christmas Tree Farm in Dixon is where traditions are made one memory at a time beginning with opening day Friday, November 24.

The fun experience is brought by the Seifert Family who started it in 1979, and now features thousands of trees with five different species to choose from on their 20-acre farm. There are several tree choices including Coastal Redwoods, Incense Cedar, and the most popular: the Monterey Pine.

Visitors will also be able to catch a glimpse of the new wedding venue created by Ted and Jeri Seifert that’s called “Timbers at Silveyville.” Their new website, atthetimbers.com, shows pictures of it nestled amongst the trees and rich in country charm. Some of the rustic decorations available are a wine barrel table, old bottle centerpieces, rustic wood arbors, various antique lanterns, and a countryman’s display ladder shelf.

“This year’s visitors will be able to see the improvements in the walkways, landscaping, park area, as well as the landscaping around the Cottage,” said Ted Seifert. “We have areas that are fenced, but they will walk by the new wedding venue site as they see and feed the ducks.”

There are also other activities including an area to visit with small farm animals, crafts, refreshments, and a very popular little store packed with a wide variety of Christmas gifts for anyone young or young at heart.

“You can see almost all of Silveyville if you take the sleigh rides led by wooden reindeer, but since Santa will be in the North Pole, he gave us permission to drive the two custom Silveyville sleighs,” Jeri Seifert said.

The farm offers free parking and admission. It is open Tuesday through Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is located at 6248 Silveyville Rd. in Dixon. Learn more at SilveyvilleTreeFarm.com or call (707) 365-4223.
