DIXON, CA (MPG) - NorthBay Health is bringing primary care to Dixon this spring, with a bright and spacious office at 1305 Stratford Ave., conveniently located just off Interstate 80 in the Safeway Plaza Shopping Center.

A soft opening began in late January, with NorthBay scheduling already existing patients for appointments at the site three days a week, providing time to apply finishing touches to the 4100-square-foot medical office building.

Stepping in to get things started are NorthBay Health Primary Care Medical Director Shanaz Khambatta, D.O., and Kulbir “Bubbly” Bajwa, M.D. Dr. Khambatta is a family medicine physician and will continue to see patients in Vacaville, as well. Dr. Bajwa specializes in internal medicine and plans to relocate her practice to Dixon.

Each physician is seeing patients one day a week, while Niko Lazarewicz, N.P., and Anne Keith, N.P., are rounding out the schedule to enable the office to be open Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

Recruitment efforts are underway to bring on a full-time physician and nurse practitioner in the next few months who will welcome new patients with appointments from Monday through Friday, according to Tim Williams, Chief Ambulatory Operations Officer. “We’re also planning to bring after-hours care and urgent care to the site in the near future,” said Williams. “Our top priority is to bring convenient, accessible, top-quality care to this community.”
