Calling for May Fair Entries
Feb 28, 2024 10:26AM ● By MPG StaffDIXON, CA (MPG) - ‘Unforgettable’ is the theme for the 147th Dixon May Fair that will be May 9-12. The official guidebook has been released with April 12 as the deadline for entries for everything from homemade jelly to floral designs and from photography to metal sculpting. There are also categories for about 20 different flowers, plus themed gardens.
Youth have their own extensive competitions including desserts, crafts, needlecraft, and hobbies to name a few. Students also have special categories for mechanical drafting, photography, and metal work. There are a total of 67 pages with hundreds of categories with most having ribbons or monetary awards.
Many more youth entries will be in the livestock division. Grange members, FFA, and 4-H youth and/or parents of independent juniors must pick up tags for their entered animals between March 12 and March 18 on weekdays only from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m.at 655 South First Street.
All youth who intend to exhibit market livestock at the 2024 Dixon May Fair must have their animal pre-tagged in order to compete during the Fair. Entry into the market goats, market lambs and market swine classes will be accepted online only at https://dixonmayfair.com/enter-your-stuff/ but ending March 8.

There are three easy steps for entering any of the categories with the first being simply deciding what one would like to enter and filing out the entry form. This document can also be accessed online. After completing it, return the signed entry form with the entry fee to the Dixon May Fair office by 5 p.m. on Friday, April 12, or mail it.
