Noted Mexican Charro to Perform at Fair’s Bull Riding Event

DIXON, CA (MPG) - Spectators at the Dixon May Fair’s Flying U Bullriding event, May 10, will be treated to a performance by acclaimed Charro Tomas Garzilazo.  Garcilazo is a third generation Charro and has devoted his life to sharing Mexico’s National Sport La Charreria, which incorporates a display of refined horsemanship while demonstrating rope artistry.

In his lifetime dedicated to the sport, Garcilazo has performed through Europe, Canada, Brazil, the United States, and Mexico. He has been a guest performer at the White House and the Kennedy Center. He is well known on the PRCA Rodeo circuit where he has been named Specialty Act of the Year four times.

The Flying U Bull Riding event will be held in the Arena on Friday, May 10, at 7pm. Also featured that evening are the Outlaw Mariachi Band performing on the Leber Garden Stage from 7 – 10 pm.

Arena events also include the Maxx Kakl Truck and Tractor Pulls on Saturday, May 11, and the Moondog Motorsports Demolition Derby on May 12.  Tickets for all arena events are $40 for all ages, and if bought in advance include Fair Admission.  Tickets purchased the day of the event do not include Fair admission. The arena events have each sold out in advance the past few years so advance purchase is recommended.
