The Dixon Community Theater group was awarded “Best in Show” by the judges at this year’s Dixon May Fair Parade. There was an acting troupe that followed behind and alongside the float as well.

DIXON, CA (MPG) - Talk about going out with a bang — the new Dixon Community Theater group paraded down First Street with a theatrical group and a gorgeous float exemplifying their next play, “Dreamland, A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” and nabbed the parade’s Best in Show.

“The Dixon Community Theater’s parade float committee greatly enjoyed creating the whimsical Dreamland-themed entry,” said Sachi Denison-Woods. “Being first-time participants, we had no expectations, but focused on artistic inspiration. We are honored and excited to have won Best in Show and we’re certainly motivated to create more delightful floats in the future!”
