Grillin’ & Chillin’
Gather your friends and family and don your hats and sunscreen for some hot fun at one of Dixon’s largest events this Saturday, June 29. Downtown Dixon is about to transform into a hub of activities and excitement to engage and benefit the community. This all-day event features something for everyone to enjoy: witness the large Car & Truck Show with automobiles of every style; watch neighbors compete and grill the best meat in the crowd-favorite Rib Cook-Off; and browse the booths of tons of small businesses offering unique gifts, crafts, and delicious food. Your little ones will also be able to run and play in the Kids’ Zone in the Dixon Women’s Improvement Club Park or splash down water slides nearby. This special event, organized by Dixon’s Action Team, supports community organizations and groups around Dixon and Solano County. Time is10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and admission is free. Downtown Dixon streets are blocked off for the fun so find good parking at the Chamber office, 220 North Jefferson and walk under the train tracks to downtown.
