Office of Education to Host Annual Early Childhood Education Conference

SOLANO COUNTY, CA (MPG) - Solano County Office of Education (SCOE) will host the 2024 Quality Counts Solano Early Childhood Education (ECE) Conference on Saturday, Sept. 14 at the Solano Community College, 4000 Suisun Valley Road, Fairfield, beginning at 7:30 a.m. This year, conference organizers invite teachers to join in an educator wellness event, including a full day of workshops from professionals skilled in early childhood education.

The Quality Counts Solano Early Childhood Education Conference has been an annual event in Solano County for over 30 years hosted at Solano College every September and welcomes the attendance of all educators supporting children from birth to age eight years.

“The Early Childhood Education conference is made possible through our invaluable partnerships with community organizations. This annual event reflects our ongoing collective commitment to furthering the growth and development of our youngest learners. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our partners for their dedication and support in making this conference a reality. Together, we are shaping a brighter future for our children.” Superintendent of Schools Lisette Estrella‐Henderson said.

Topics will be of interest for all early learning professionals ranging from: preschool, kindergarten, and transitional kindergarten teachers, infant/toddler teachers, family childcare providers, center-based directors, and supervisors, as well as anyone working with young children.

Participants will enjoy engaging topics, including supporting children with special needs, early literacy, and a variety of wellness workshops for teachers and childcare providers.
