AMERICAN CANYON, CA (MPG) – The 2024 Youth Resiliency Summit, sponsored by Solano County Office of Education in partnership with Napa County Friday Night Live and Solano County Public Health, invites high school students in Solano and Napa Counties to join a day of inspiration, growth, and community action. The free summit will take place on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at American Canyon High School located at 3000 Newell Drive in American Canyon. Youth participants will have the opportunity to listen to speakers and engage in workshops that focus on leadership skills, building resilience, addressing key issues affecting their lives and communities, and making positive change.

Featuring internationally recognized leader Javier Sanchez, who has over 20 years of experience in youth advocacy, the summit aims to inspire young people to make meaningful and positive changes in their communities. Sanchez specializes in empowering teens and adults to create sustainable community impact through innovative health and wellness strategies. With a background in behavioral studies, community leadership, and experience with the Youth-to-Youth International Program, as well as recognition by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Sanchez is uniquely qualified to connect with students and help them unlock their potential. Beyond his professional expertise, Sanchez is also a published author, consultant, and stand-up comic, adding a touch of humor and relatability to his impactful work.

This year’s Youth Resiliency Summit will also feature three-time-Grammy-nominated musician SaulPaul, whose journey from tragedy to triumph has been shared through TEDx Talks, performances at the Kennedy Center, and his memoir "Be the Change." SaulPaul uses his platform to empower young people and foster community leadership through acts of kindness, volunteerism, and philanthropy. His latest venture, Change Water, gives back to local communities with each sale of the bottled water, benefiting over 100,000 students across 32 states. SaulPaul will speak to participants about his dedication to art, entrepreneurship, and service to community, aimed at inspiring students to do the same.

The Youth Resiliency Summit will also feature workshops, fun activities, raffles, and prizes, all in a collaborative environment where students can learn and grow together.
