DIXON, CA (MPG) - Bank of Stockton, 2200 N. First St. officially opened on Nov. 4; this new branch in Dixon, the bank’s 21st overall, will complete a 21-branch footprint across 17 cities and within nine counties.

This means that the sheer amount of physical locations Bank of Stockton has established allows it a wider surface area of service, spanning from Napa to Sonora. The organization’s commitment to technological advancement and customer convenience sees many innovations, such as bill discovery. Introduced in 2022, this function of online banking gives customers the ability to more easily find and input biller information.

Bank staff and upper management made appearances on Nov. 4, conversing with guests as they entered. CEO and Chairman of the Board, Douglass Eberhardt II, also attended. He is the ninth president in the bank’s 157-year history.

“We are very happy to be a permanent part of the Dixon community,” Eberhardt II said. “The foundation of our community banking success is our focus on customer relationships and excellent customer service, and we look forward to bringing this to the community of Dixon.”

Community Branch Manager Fernando Ontiveros, a Dixon native, is also excited to continue to serve his community.

“I’d like to invite everyone to stop by and say hello. We look forward to bringing you a great banking experience that is tried and true,” Ontiveros said.

New patrons were greeted with artful décor and pastries as they entered the banking establishment.

Angela Brusa, Bank of Stockton’s vice-president and marketing director, described much of the art around the bank, highlighting Dixon’s historical and agricultural background.

“History means a great deal to us and we enjoyed incorporating local Dixon history into the Dixon branch interior,” Brusa said. “From Timm Dairy milkmen, featured on our branding wall, to paying homage to local Dixon history using a shadowbox coffee table with Dixon photos, we are thrilled to finally open. It's going to be a great fit for us and we already feel very welcomed.”

The first patrons entered the bank about 9:10 a.m. Nov. 4 looking for a security deposit box; they were greeted with smiling faces and baked goods such as croissants, muffins and chocolate chip banana bread. Each staff member introduced themselves as more customers made their way to the bank.

The Bank of Stockton initially opened its doors in 1867, just two years after the Civil War.
