Grace Kids Club
Grace Fellowship of Dixon, 535 W. H St., is excited to host the return of the Grace Kids Club. Every Wednesday, beginning Jan. 8, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., all kids, from kindergarten to 5th grade, are welcome to join for free fun, friends, and fellowship; the final session will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. April 16. Uptown Collective Grand Opening
Uptown Collective, 108 N. First St., will be hosting its grand reopening, inviting the public to join in at 10 a.m. Jan. 25. The local business, proudly run by talented women from our community, is excited to open its doors and welcome everyone back; more than just a retail store, the venue is a celebration of the entrepreneurial spirit of Dixon’s women. It’s All About Hot Foil
It’s All About the Scrapbook, 1670 N. Lincoln St., is hosting a hot-foil-focused class alongside Nikki Sher of Crafty Creations by Nikki. At 10 a.m. Jan. 25, guests will review the differences between foils and machines, necessary materials and a variety of demonstrations using hot foiling products; after that, patrons will work with the hot foil machines to make 3 cards. For $55 per person, attendees will receive a hot foil Plate/stencil combo, one roll of foil, paper and embellishments to make three cards. The class is in-person only. Davis Odd Fellows Installation & Awards Dinner
Davis Odd Fellows, 415 Second St., Davis, is hosting its annual installation and awards dinner from 5:15 to 9 p.m. Jan. 25. Although beer, wine and other beverages should be brought personally by guests, a dinner of beef or veggie bourguignon, roasted potatoes, roasted veggies, coleslaw, bread and dessert will be served. Attendees are encouraged to dress business casual to semi-formal, but the dress code is not mandatory. The event costs $10 for members and $15 for non-members. Doubt: A Parable Performances
Winters Community Theatre, 13 Main St., invites guests to their first show of 2025, “Doubt: A Parable.” The first showing, from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Jan. 31, will explore moral conflict and the nature of truth. Adapted from the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning play by John Patrick Shanley, the production is for mature audiences only. Tickets are $17.85 per person. Berry Sweet Valentine’s Cooking Class
Every Baking Moment, 143 N. First St., is hosting a berry sweet Valentine’s cooking class from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Feb. 2. CAASC 29th Annual Scholarship Fundraiser
The Chinese American Association of Solano County (CAASC) is hosting its annual event to celebrate the Lunar New Year and provide scholarships to local students at Ulatis Community Center, 1000 Ulatis Drive, Vacaville. From 5 to 8 p.m. Feb. 8, guests will enjoy an authentic Chinese dinner, traditional lion dancers, cultural performances, scholarship awards and recognition of community leaders and contributors. Proceeds from the event directly benefit the scholarship program. General admission costs $55.20 for those 14 and older, $39.19 for children 3 to 13, and free children 2 and younger. Dixon FFA Car Show
The Dixon Future Farmers of America (FFA) is hosting the second annual Dixon FFA Car Show at Dixon High School, 555 College Way. From 12 to 4 p.m. Feb. 15, the free public event allows both DHS and Dixon locals the chance to showcase their cars to the public. Entry is also free and is available to DHS students via applications in the Ag building at school; non-students can apply via a QR code on Instagram @DixonFFA. Ruhstaller Comedy Show
Ruhstaller Beer Farm, 6686 Sievers Road, is holding a series of comedy shows throughout 2025, the first of which occurs from 8 to 9:30 p.m. Jan. 23. Hosted by Comedian Eric Somers, for $17.85 per person, guests will be treated to performances from Sydney Stigerts, Adam Tiller and Teddy Hull.
