DIXON, CA (MPG) – Dixon’s Action Team (DAT) will celebrate the 14th annual Dixon Grillin’ & Chillin’ event on June 28.

Several streets along Highway 113 in downtown Dixon will be closed off to host a car and truck show and rib cook-off, along with craft and food vendors, a kids’ park and live music for a full day of family fun.

This huge event takes months of planning and tons of dedicated work from the team, as well as tons of hard-working volunteers.

Dixon’s Action Team (DAT) wants to highlight a group of individuals who have dedicated their efforts to Gillin’ & Chillin’ year after year. Dixon Leon’s Soccer Club spends countless hours helping manage the setup and cleanup of the event, while also working the beer booths and kids’ park. This community event would not be possible without the help of volunteers, so Dixon’s Action Team thanks Dixon Leon for their dedication to the team.

Dixon's Action Team is a nonprofit organization that strives to benefit the community of Dixon and Solano County, as well as the surrounding areas.

Over the years, Dixon’s Action Team has given close to $130,000 to organizations that include the American Cancer Society, local programs for veterans, Stand Down (Dixon Post 208) American Legion, Dixon Cornerstone Baptist Church Food Bank, Dixon Competitive Soccer Club Boys & Girls, Dixon’s FFA and 4-H programs, Sacramento Valley Cemetery Wreath Project and many more.

Dixon’s Action Team extends a special thank you to their sponsors and the City of Dixon for their contributions each year.
