Rotary Club Pancake Breakfast

The Dixon Rotary Club is hosting its 58th annual pancake breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. May 10. Dixon Rotary Club sponsors Dixon High School scholarships, Remember-A-Vet programs, Dixon school programs and various community projects. With $5 per plate sold at the door, guests can continue to support the Rotary Club's endeavors. The event will be held at the Olde Vets Hall, 231 N. First St.

Chang Family Bake Sale Fundraiser

A bake sale on behalf of the Chang family is being hosted from noon to 3 p.m. May 10. Hosted at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 185 W. Cherry St., the event will raise funds toward paying medical bills for their daughter with pediatric cancer. Those interested in providing monetary or baked goods for donations can text or call Theresa Beene at 707-693-5366.

Mother’s Day Celebration at Freedom Church

Freedom Church is hosting a Mother’s Day service at 10 a.m. May 11. Held at the church, 470 E. H St., the senior pastor is offering blessings to each mother in attendance. As a token of appreciation, each mother in attendance will receive a gift at the end of the service.

The Friendly Bookworm Bag Sale

The Friendly Bookworm Bookstore is hosting a bag sale from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 17. Sponsored by Friends of the Dixon Public Library, 200 N. First St., the event offers the opportunity to fill a bag with books for $5. Standard-sized grocery bags will be provided, but some items are excluded from the sale. The children’s room will be open at regular prices. All proceeds support future Dixon Public Library programs. Only cash and checks will be accepted.

Mickey Cake Class

Every Baking Moment is hosting a Disney-themed cake baking workshop from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 17. The workshop, held at 143 N. First St. offers an opportunity to decorate a cake with friends and take it home, all for $65 per person. All supplies are provided, and the final design may differ based on skill level.

Solo Rugby Silver Division Championship

The Solano-Yolo Rugby Club will compete in the Northern California Silver Division Rugby Championships at 11:35 a.m. May 10. Held at Stockton Soccer Complex, 10055 CA-99, Solo Rugby will take on Chico's youth rugby program.

Line Dancing at Ruhstaller

Ruhstaller Farms is hosting line dancing from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. June 5. The event, held at 6686 Sievers Road, offers a community atmosphere and the opportunity to learn how to line dance. Dinner, prepared by Tapps Kitchen, is available from 3 to 8 p.m. Attendees can donate, and each month, donations will be given to a different nonprofit organization.

Dixon Chamber Connections Networking

The Dixon Chamber of Commerce is hosting a networking event from noon to 1:30 p.m. June 5. This free, in-person event, held at The Farmstead at Dixon, 350 Gateway Drive, presents the opportunity for local professionals to connect. Dixon Library is hosting its monthly morning book club meeting from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. June 12. The morning book club is a monthly, adult-oriented group that will be reading “First Lie Wins” by Ashley Elston. Ramtown Karate Summer Camp

Ramtown Karate is hosting a summer camp from June 23 to 27. Held at the Ramtown Karate Dojo, 1680 N. Lincoln St., #A, the event offers karate activities for all ages. Activities include water games, self-defense practice, a barbecue and the opportunity to learn about Okinawan culture. Attendance is $299 per participant.
