Veterans’ Dinner

American Legion Post 208 is hosting a Veterans’ Dinner from 5:30 to 7 p.m. June 6. The dinner, held at Veterans’ Memorial Hall, 1305 N. First St. offers an all-you-can-eat meal for $12 per guest. Dishes include pork, mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetables and a roll.

Pokémon Trading and Battle Day 

Joystick Gaming Lounge is hosting a Pokémon-focused game day from 6 to 8 p.m. June 7. Held at the lounge, 420 Gateway Drive, Suite C, the event offers participants the opportunity to learn how to play the Pokémon Trading Card Game, battle with other players and trade cards. The event is open to all ages and costs $5 per person.

Dixon Moose Lodge Breakfast 

Dixon Moose Lodge is hosting breakfast from 9 to 11 a.m. June 8 for $12 per person. Held at the lodge, 180 W. B St., attendees have their choice of eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes and more.

Dixon Library Book Club

Dixon Library is hosting its monthly morning book club meeting from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. June 12. The morning book club is a monthly, adult-oriented group that will be reading “First Lie Wins” by Ashley Elston. Coffee and tea will be provided for attendees, and the meeting itself will be in the library’s front room, 230 N. First St.

Atkinson Shred Event 

Atkinson Self Storage is hosting its annual shred event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 14. Located at 1800 N. First St. (Highway 113), participants can pay $10 to have a banker-sized box of documents shredded. Cash and card payments are accepted.

VFW Upcoming Meeting

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8151 will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. June 18. Meetings are held every third Wednesday at The Olde Vets Hall, 231 N. First St. Official business meetings start at 7 p.m., but the hall opens for set-up and socializing at 6 p.m. Socializing will continue after the business portion of the meeting.

Craft Supply Yard Sale 

Fairy Crafty Creations is hosting a craft supply yard sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 21. Held in Archer Plaza, 220 Archer Place, the event features multiple vendors, handmade items, and craft supplies, including fabrics, yarns, beads, and more. Because this is a going-out-of-business sale, all items are on clearance.

Ramtown Karate Summer Camp

Ramtown Karate is hosting a summer camp from June 23 to 27. Held at the Ramtown Karate Dojo, 1680 N. Lincoln St., #A, the event offers karate activities for all ages. Activities include water games, self-defense practice, a barbecue and the opportunity to learn about Okinawan culture. Attendance is $299 per participant.

Unaccompanied Veterans Ceremony

Sacramento Valley National Cemetery is hosting funeral services for unaccompanied veterans at 2 p.m. June 26. Held quarterly at 5810 Midway Road, this event is meant to honor eligible veterans who passed away without family or military honors.

Dixon Action Team is hosting Grillin’ & Chillin’ from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. June 28. Held in Downtown Dixon, the family-friendly event offers a car and truck show, local vendors, food trucks, live music and a rib cook-off.
