Dixon Women’s Improvement Club Installs Officers and Committee Chairs

DIXON, CA (MPG) - Dixon Women's Improvement Club held its general meeting on May 21, where the 2025–2026 Board Officers and Committee Chairs were officially sworn in. The ceremony marked the beginning of a new term of leadership dedicated to continuing the club’s longstanding mission of service, education and community engagement.
The 2025–2026 Dixon Women's Improvement Club officers and committee chairs are as follows. Teri Brown serves as president, with Jewel Fink as vice-president. Cindy Heeney is the treasurer and Ashley Alvarez holds the position of recording secretary. Pat Inderbitzen is the corresponding secretary, and Martha Dukes is responsible for financial review. The member-at-large position is currently unfilled.
Committee chairs include Brown for community grants, Pam Marks for the Dixon Women's Improvement Club Rose Garden and Cheryl Hughes as historian.
Binky Eason and Angela Remides co-chair hospitality and membership. Fink is the parliamentarian, and Alvarez is volunteering to assist with publicity and press releases until the position is filled.
Diane Schroeder chairs the scholarships committee and Inderbitzen oversees telephone and sunshine duties.
The May 21 meeting also celebrated the club’s recent volunteer success at the Dixon May Fair, which resulted in additional funding awarded to Dixon Women’s Improvement Club. Members were thanked for their time and energy spent supporting the event.
Looking ahead, the club has announced that dinner fundraisers at Panda Express will take place over the next several months to support Dixon Women’s Improvement Club.
The newly-installed board will meet soon to review member-submitted ideas for 2026’s meeting topics and excursions, ensuring that the upcoming calendar reflects the interests and passions of the club’s membership.
Dixon Women’s Improvement Club thanks its outgoing officers and chairs for their service and welcomes the new leadership team. Together, members look forward to another year of making a positive impact throughout the Dixon community.
