Veterans’ Dinner
American Legion Post 208 is hosting a Veterans’ Dinner from 4 to 9 p.m. June 13. The dinner, held at Veterans’ Memorial Hall, 1305 N. First St. offers an all-you-can-eat meal for $12 per guest. Dishes include fried fish, French fries, hushpuppies and a roll. The bar opens at 4:30 p.m. and dinner is served at 5:30 p.m.

Atkinson Shred Event
Atkinson Self Storage is hosting its annual shred event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 14. Located at 1800 N. First St. (Highway 113), participants can pay $10 to have a banker-sized box of documents shredded. Cash and card payments are accepted.

VFW Upcoming Meeting
The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8151 will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. June 18. Meetings are held every third Wednesday at The Olde Vets Hall, 231 N. First St. Official business meetings start at 7 p.m., but the hall opens for set-up and socializing at 6 p.m. Socializing will continue after the business portion of the meeting.

Craft Supply Yard Sale
Fairy Crafty Creations is hosting a craft supply yard sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 21. Held in Archer Plaza, 220 Archer Place, the event features multiple vendors, handmade items, and craft supplies, including fabrics, yarns, beads, and more. Because this is a going-out-of-business sale, all items are on clearance.

Dixon Moose Lodge #1120 is hosting a brisket and ribs barbecue at 5:30 p.m. June 21. Held at the lodge, 180 W. B St., the event offers raffle prizes, a full bar and desserts. Tickets are available for $30 per person.

Dixon Dolphins Water Polo Clinics
Dixon Dolphin Swim Team is hosting a series of water polo clinics beginning at 4 p.m. June 13. Held at the Pat Granucci Aquatic Center, 450 E. Mayes St., the clinic is available for children aged 6 to 19 for $25 per session or $75 for all four sessions. Sessions are from 4 to 6 p.m. on June 13, 20, 27 and July 11.

Free Lunch at the Dixon Library
Dixon Library is offering free lunch to kids and teens from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. June 9 to July 31. Held at the library, 230 N. First St., free lunches will be available to youth 18 and under with no registration required. Meals are offered in partnership with local school districts, funded by the California State Library, and must be eaten on-site. Lunch will not be served on the July 4.

Unaccompanied Veterans Ceremony
Sacramento Valley National Cemetery is hosting funeral services for unaccompanied veterans at 2 p.m. June 26. Held quarterly at 5810 Midway Road, this event is meant to honor eligible veterans who passed away without family or military honors.
