DIXON, CA (MPG) - Dixon High School is set to kick off its 2025 fall sports season with a busy schedule spanning cross country, cheer, flag football, golf, football, volleyball and water polo.

According to Dixon High School Athletics Director Brett Peterson, clear expectations are set for athletes to keep them accountable on the field and in the classroom.

“We set clear expectations for sportsmanship, hold athletes accountable in the classroom and celebrate achievements in both areas equally,” Peterson said. “We also have a captain's council on campus to help foster the growth of our team leaders. We highlight these achievements through student-athletes of the week awards and our end-of-the-year athletic awards banquet.”

Both Roman and Peterson encourage Dixonites to get involved with Dixon High School Athletics through attending games, volunteering, supporting fundraisers and being a positive presence for student-athletes.

“We have also revamped our school booster club,” said Roman. “This organization, known as DSAB, supports athletics at both John Knight Middle School and Dixon High School. Reach out and become a member.”
