DIXON, CA (MPG) - Comedian and Emcee, David Studebaker will return for this year’s Comedy Night Sept. 27 at Olde Vet’s Hall, 231 N. First St. Festivities begin at 6 p.m. with a no-host bar and raffle prizes. 

Dinner is at 7 p.m., followed by a dessert auction, laughs, raffle prize winners and more laughs.  Tickets are $65 and available at Dixon Family Services (DFS).  Call 707-678-0442 or email [email protected] for more information.  

Comedy Night is Dixon Family Services’ one annual fundraising event and is an opportunity for everyone to support the nonprofit organization while having a fun time.

Established in 1984, Dixon Family Services is the only Human Services and Family Resource Center serving low-income families in need of assistance in Dixon.  They have programs on site and are also knowledgeable about other local human services agencies that may be specific to a caller’s needs.  They can provide contact information or do research, find a good referrals and get back to the person seeking a particular type of service not offered at Dixon Family Services. 

The Dixon Chamber of Commerce acknowledged Dixon Family Services as Dixon’s Nonprofit of the Year in March 2025 at their annual Celebrate Dixon Event

Dixon Family Services Executive Director Cookie Powell said, “Please reach out now and let us know how you would like to participate, whether it be to purchase tickets, sponsor, donate a raffle prize, or other. There will be additional ways to support this fundraiser at the event, such as bidding on desserts, participating in the raffles, or bringing a decadent dessert that others can bid on.  Event planners want to hear from you.  Thank you.”
