DIXON, CA - Dixon Women’s Improvement Club invites community members to its upcoming meeting, aimed at fostering local engagement, sharing new ideas and continuing its proud tradition of civic involvement and service.
The first meeting of the 2025-26 year will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sept. 17 at the Fellowship Hall of the Dixon United Methodist Church, 209 N. Jefferson St. All current members, prospective members and interested individuals are welcome to attend.
With a history of empowering women and supporting community growth, the Dixon Women’s Improvement Club’s gatherings serve as an opportunity for collaboration, education and connection. The agenda will include a description of this year’s activities, a luncheon and a game of Tea Bingo. The business meeting will follow.
We believe in the power of women coming together to make meaningful changes. Each meeting is an opportunity to learn from one another and contribute to Dixon’s vibrant community.
A number of optional excursions are planned for Dixon Women’s Improvement Club members throughout the year, including a Dixon History Museum tour with an informative talk by museum curator Frank McKinney on Sept. 2.
A tour of the Vallejo Naval and Historical Museum will be on Oct. 9 and members can carpool to Mare Island. Tickets cost $5 for general admission and $3 for seniors.
