Dixon May Fair Makes Plans

DIXON, CA (MPG) - A range of winter and spring events are scheduled at the Dixon May Fairgrounds, 655 S. First St., in early 2026, bringing cat shows, community fundraisers, home improvement exhibits and animal-sport demonstrations to the venue ahead of the annual Dixon May Fair in May.
The Cat Fanciers’ Association Northwest Region Cat Show, titled “Cats Royale,” will take place Jan. 10, in Madden Hall. Exhibitor hours run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with public visiting hours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $15 for adults, $10 for children, students with identification and seniors, and $40 for families. The show will feature a variety of cat breeds and include a costume contest. Additional details are available at cfa.org/events/cats-royale.
Madden Hall will host the Crow Canyon Cat Show on March 7 and 8. The two-day event is organized by the Tails and No Tales Cat Club. Specific hours and program details are expected to be announced closer to the event dates.
Two crab feeds will also be held at the fairgrounds in February. The Dixon Game Conservation Club will host its annual crab feed Feb. 7 from 6 to 10 p.m. The event will take place at the club’s venue with dinner service and community activities planned. Later in the month, the Dixon Rotary Club will hold its crab feed Feb. 28 in Madden Hall from 6 to 11:30 p.m. Information on tickets and participation is posted at dixonrotary.org.

The Solano Home and Garden Show will return March 21 and 22, at 655 S. First St., offering home improvement resources, vendor exhibits and family activities. The event, held at the Dixon Fairgrounds, runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Since 2015, the show has featured specialists in heating and air, solar, remodeling, doors and windows, electrical upgrades and other home services.
Attendees can browse artisan booths, participate in a bingo scavenger hunt and enjoy food trucks and live music. Admission is $8 for general entry, $5 for seniors and military personnel, and free for children 12 and under. Parking is free across the street, and tickets are sold at the gate in cash only. The Haute Dawgs Agility Group is scheduled to bring dog agility and nose-work activities to the fairgrounds’ south lawn on March 28 and 29. The group, based in the greater Sacramento region, will offer demonstrations in canine obstacle-course navigation and scent-detection work. Event specifics will be announced as the date approaches. The Dixon May Fair will follow later in the season, running from May 7 to 10. Operating hours are 4 to 10 p.m. May 7, noon to 11 p.m. May 8, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. May 9 and noon to 10 p.m. May 10.
