Dixon Chamber Connections Networking
The Dixon Chamber of Commerce is hosting a networking event from noon to 1:30 p.m. Jan. 1. This free in-person event, held at The Farmstead at Dixon, 350 Gateway Drive, allows local professionals to connect. Offering a diverse range of potential connections, attendees are encouraged to bring business cards.

Pony Rides and Santa
Serenity Saddles is hosting a unique Christmas event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 20. Held at the barn, 7778 Nunes Road, the event offers pony rides for $10, as well as crafts, cookies, hot cocoa and pictures with Santa for free. Attendees are encouraged to park near the event sign and to drive at 5 mph on the property.

Read to a Dog
Dixon Library is hosting Read to a Dog from 3 to 4 p.m. Dec. 22. Hosted at the library, 230 N. First St., the activity provides children ages five to 12 with the opportunity to read aloud to certified therapy dogs. The program offers a relaxed, non-judgmental environment aimed at improving reading fluency and building positive reading experiences.

Teen Christmas Cupcake Wreath
Every Baking Moment is hosting a baking class for teens only from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Dec. 22. Held at the shop 143 N. Frist. St., the event offers the chance for teens to learn recipes and piping techniques. Attendees will bring home a cupcake wreath to share with family and friends. All supplies are provided. The class is a one-hour session for $45.

Santa at Stockton Bank
Santa Claus will be making a stop at the Dixon branch of the Bank of Stockton from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Dec. 19. Held at the bank, 2200 N. First St., the festive holiday gathering offers attendees hot chocolate, sweet treats and the chance to meet Santa Claus.

Christmas Tree Recycling Fundraiser
Boy Scout Troop 152 is hosting a tree recycling fundraiser Jan. 3 and 10. Dixonites can sign up online to have their Christmas trees recycled by local Boy Scouts after the New Year for a donation. No donation is too small, but a suggested donation of $20 per tree is appreciated. Proceeds will fund campouts, service projects, equipment, leadership training and year-round adventure for the troop.

Dixon Firefighters Toy Drive
Dixon Professional Firefighters, in partnership with Freedom Church, is hosting a Toy Drive until Dec. 20. Organizers are specifically looking for new toys for children 0 to 14 years old. For those interested in donating, QR codes are available on flyers around town and online. All donated toys will go directly to children and families in the community. For local businesses interested in participating, they can host a collection bin and be designated as a drop-off location. A list of available drop-off locations is available through the QR code.

Dixon Kiwanis Monthly Meeting
Kiwanis Club of Dixon is hosting its monthly meeting from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Dec. 22. Held at Joystick Gaming Lounge, 420 Gateway Dr., Suite C, the meeting focuses on members working together to raise funds and execute service projects for the betterment of the children and community. Meetings are free and open to the public, including non-members.
