Chamber Announces Schedule Changes

DIXON, CA (MPG) - Dixon Chamber of Commerce has announced upcoming schedule changes, extended fundraising efforts and a slate of community events hosted by chamber members in early 2026.
The chamber office, 220 N. Jefferson St., will be closed from Dec. 22 through Jan. 2. Current chamber hours are 8 to 11 a.m. Monday through Thursday, with appointments available on Fridays. The office is closed Saturdays and Sundays. Beginning Jan. 20, the chamber will expand its operating hours to 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, while remaining closed on weekends.
The chamber has also extended its Second Annual Giving Tree Fundraiser through Dec. 31. The fundraiser allows residents to make donations benefiting three local student support programs: the Dixon High Rams Vault, Maine Prairie High Vault and the Anderson Nest. The fundraising goal is $3,000, with $1,000 designated for each program. A nonperishable food donation barrel provided by Cornerstone Church of Dixon is also available as part of the effort.
Several chamber-member organizations have announced events scheduled for January and beyond.
American Legion Post 208 will host a Hobo Beef Stew Dinner and Raffle on Jan. 16 at Veterans Memorial Hall, 1305 N. First St. The host bar opens at 4:30 p.m., with dinner served at 6 p.m. Tickets cost $15 per person. Additional information and tickets are available by calling 530-304-5385.
The Dixon Chamber of Commerce will also host a Chamber Connections Networking event from noon to 1:30 p.m. Jan. 1 at The Farmstead at Dixon, 350 Gateway Drive. The free, in-person event is designed to bring together local professionals, entrepreneurs and business owners. Attendees are encouraged to bring business cards.
The Dixon Library, located at 230 N. First St., will offer several programs for various age groups in early January. The library will be closed from Dec. 22 through Jan. 3 for its winter program break.
An “Afternoon Adventures: Firework Painting” program is scheduled from 2 to 3 p.m. Jan. 9. The program is part of an after-school series for school-age children and their families and will feature a hands-on art activity celebrating the new year.
From 1 to 3 p.m. Jan. 10, the library will host the Dixon Youth Air Protectors Showcase. The event will focus on local air quality hazards and bicycle rack placement, in partnership with Sustainable Solano. Registration is required, with space limited to 35 participants.

The library will also provide Drop-In Senior Tech Help from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Jan. 13 at the Dixon Senior/Multi-Use Center, 210 S. Fifth St. The monthly program occurs on the second Tuesday of each month and offers 90 minutes of technology assistance without an appointment. Joystick Gaming Lounge, 420 Gateway Drive, Suite C, has announced several January events. Pokémon Night will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Jan. 3 with a $5 entry fee. A Street Fighter Tournament is scheduled from 6 to 10 p.m. Jan. 9, with a $15 entry fee and online registration available. Dixon Little League has opened registration for its Spring 2026 season. Registration closes Jan. 4, with fees set at $180 for Tee Ball and $210 for AA through Juniors. Opening Weekend is scheduled for March 6 and 7.
It’s All About the Scrapbook, 1670 N. Lincoln St., Suite B, will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Christmas Eve and closed Christmas Day. The shop will host a Crafters Flea Market March 5 and 6, with early bird tickets available Jan. 2.
