DIXON, CA (MPG) – REM Legacy Foundation, a local nonprofit organization, will host a Senior Prom for adults ages 65 and up from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Feb. 26 at Dixon Senior Center, 201 S. Fifth St.
This free, community-wide event is designed to give seniors a fun and memorable afternoon. The prom will feature a DJ, a photo booth and community vendors, with each table offering something special for seniors along with helpful resource information.
REM Legacy Foundation is a small, four-person nonprofit team dedicated to supporting families facing unexpected loss by helping with funeral expenses. The foundation is also committed to creating joyful experiences that help seniors stay active, social and connected.
The REM Legacy Foundation team includes Tawsha Gaytan, who works with Vacaville Memory Care, Mary Felix with Solano life House & REM Senior Day Program, Crystal Tellez, who works with the State of California and Yari Rodriguez, with Vacaville Ranch.
“This event is about giving our seniors a reason to get out, have fun, and feel celebrated.”
The event is free and open to the public, and all seniors are encouraged to attend.
