Dixon High School Boys Varsity Track Team will compete at home at 10:30 a.m. April 25. Hosted at Dixon High School, 555 College Way, the Rams will take on the Bella Vista High School Broncos.

Free Smoke Alarm Event
The Senior/Multi-use Center is hosting a free smoke alarm and fire prevention education event with American Red Cross from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 25. Held at the Multi-use Center, 201 S. Fifth St., Dixon residents who sign up will receive free 10-year smoke alarm installation, alarm checks and a personalized fire escape plan on the day of the event.

Bunco Night
Joystick Gaming Lounge will host its monthly Bunco Night from 6 to 8 p.m. April 23. Held at the lounge, 420 Gateway Dr., Suite C, the event includes prizes, with food and beverages available for purchase. The event costs $20 per attendee. Proceeds from beer and wine sales will benefit Kiwanis Club of Dixon. Notably, Kiwanis Club will host its monthly meeting at the lounge from 6 to 7:30 p.m. April 27.

Dixon Grown Outreach Meeting
The City of Dixon is hosting a series of outreach meetings to help every resident in the community have their voice heard in the future development of Dixon. Meetings are scheduled for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. April 23 at Tremont Elementary, 355 Pheasant Run Dr., and 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. April 25 at the Senior/Multi-Use Center, 201 S. Fifth St.

Dixon Community Theater Presents “Cinderella”
Dixon Community Theater will premiere its newest production, Rodger and Hammerstein’s “Cinderella,” at 7 p.m. April 24. Held at the Dixon Performing Arts Center, 555 College Way, the production will have several 7 p.m. evening showtimes, including April 25, May 1 and May 2. Matinees at 2 p.m. will be held April 26 and May 3. Tickets are already on sale online, but can be purchased at the door.

Dixon May Fair
The Dixon May Fair will return for its 149th year May 7 to 10 at the fairgrounds, 655 S. First St., featuring carnival rides, live entertainment, livestock competitions and grandstand events. Fair hours are scheduled for 4 to 10 p.m. May 7, noon to 11 p.m. May 8, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. May 9 and noon to 10 p.m. May 10. Parking is $10 per vehicle, cash only. General admission is $15 for adults 13 and older, $10 for children ages 5 to 12, $10 for seniors 65 and older and active-duty military with identification, and free for children 4 and under.

Ribbon Cutting at Dwelley Family Wines

Dixon Library is hosting after-school homework help courtesy of Dixon High School Key Club from 4 to 5 p.m. April 27. Held at the library, 230 N. First St., the free event offers homework support to students in kindergarten through 6th grade on a first-come, first-served basis. Space is limited.

Star Wars-Inspired Cookie Class
Every Baking Moment is hosting a Star Wars-inspired cookie decorating class from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. May 2. Held at the shop, 143 N. First St., the class will involve decorating seven cookies and will educate patrons on icing, piping and flooding techniques, as well as texture and detail. Participation costs $50 per person.
