Spring Sports Season Concludes with Busy May Schedule

DIXON, CA (MPG) – The spring youth sports season in Dixon is drawing to a close, highlighted by a full schedule of games across baseball, softball, rugby and swimming throughout May.

Dixon Little League Baseball is wrapping up regular season play with divisions beginning competition continuing through May. In the AA division, the next game will be played May 2 with the Mets facing the Tigers and will conclude May 21 with the Orioles taking on the Mets at the Dixon Little League Complex. AAA teams will also play May 2, including matchups such as the Marlins versus the A’s, the Padre’s versus the Dodgers and the Blue Jays versus the Giants. The season will finish May 21 with the Marlins playing the Blue Jays in a rescheduled game.

Single A baseball play will continue May 1 with contests including the River Cats versus the Lugnuts, the Trash Pandas versus the Hooks and the Blue Rocks versus the Mudcats, all from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The season will conclude May 2 with the River Cats facing the Trash Pandas. Tee Ball teams will hold their final slate of games May 2, featuring matchups such as the Rattlers versus the Red Wings and the Grasshoppers versus the Hot Rods.

In Dixon Girls Softball, games will continue into mid-May, with the season concluding during Week 10. Key matchups include the Dixon HUNTR/X against the Dixon Bobcats on May 13 and the Bobcats versus the Diamond Daisies on May 14 at Hall Park.

Dixon Dolphins Swim Team will continue its season at 7 a.m. May 2 with an intersquad meet at Pat Granucci Aquatics Center, 450 E. Mayes St. This meet is for Dixon Dolphins swimmers only. Swimmers will compete in all events to set times before the first league meet. All families with a participating swimmer must sign up for a volunteer role. The team will continue competition with meets scheduled through June, including an away event May 16 in Sacramento.

Off the field, Dixon Youth Football and Cheer have ongoing registration for the 2026 season, including cheer fittings scheduled for May 14 and a second session to be announced. In-person registration events are set for May 18 and June 22. Dixon Youth Flag Football will play its final championship game May 3.
