Dixon Chamber Connections Networking

The Dixon Chamber of Commerce is hosting a networking event from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. May 21. This free in-person event, held at Joystick Gaming Lounge, 420 Gateway Drive, Suite C, allows local professionals to connect. Offering a diverse range of potential connections, attendees are encouraged to bring business cards. Mountain Mike’s Pizza is the location and lunch sponsor.

Dixon Teen Center Hiring

Dixon Teen Center is looking to hire a Teen Center Coordinator. The requirements of the position include excellent people skills, especially with teens, coordination experience, and availability every Friday and Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m.

Lunch Bunch at Pedro’s Cocina

The Dixon Chamber of Commerce is hosting another lunch bunch networking event from noon to 1:30 p.m. May 19. Held at Mountain Mike’s Pizza, 1700 N. First St., the free event offers guests a no-host lunch and networking opportunities.

Mixer at Uptown Collective

Dixon Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Uptown Collective, is hosting an evening of networking from 5:30 to 7 p.m. May 21. Held at the shop, 115 E. A St., the event will bring business people in the community together to mingle and check out what Uptown Collective has to offer. The free event will include raffles and refreshments.

Bunco Night

Joystick Gaming Lounge will host its monthly Bunco Night from 6 to 8 p.m. May 28. Held at the lounge, 420 Gateway Dr., Suite C, the event includes prizes, with food and beverages available for purchase. The event costs $20 per attendee. Proceeds from beer and wine sales will benefit Kiwanis Club of Dixon.

10th Annual Benefit Golf Tournament

RememberAVet.net Wreath Project is hosting the 10th Annual Benefit Golf Tournament at 8 a.m. May 29. Held at Haggin Oaks Golf Complex, 3645 Fulton Ave., Sacramento, all proceeds from the event will benefit RememberAVet.net Wreath Project, which raises funds to honor fallen veterans at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery near Dixon. Enry costs $150 and includes green and cart fees as well as tee prize and lunch.

Four Star Farm Horse Camp

Four Star Farm is offering a beginner to intermediate horseback riding camp beginning in mid-June. The farm, 7445 Pitt School Road, will have activities such as horseback riding, art projects and horsemanship for children aged 6 to 13 years old. Listed sessions are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and include June 15 to 19, July 9 to 10 and August 3 to 7. Sessions cost $695 per participant.

Read to a Dog

Dixon Library is hosting Read to a Dog from 3 to 4 p.m. May 18. Hosted at the library, 230 N. First St., the activity provides children ages five to 12 with the opportunity to read aloud to certified therapy dogs. The program offers a relaxed, non-judgmental environment aimed at improving reading fluency and building positive reading experiences. This will be the first event the library hosts after its winter program break.

Fill-a-Bag Sale

The Friendly Bookworm is hosting a $5 fill-a-bag sale from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 16. Held at the bookstore next to the library, 230 N. First St., the event allows participants to bring a regular grocery bag and fill it with books for only $5. All proceeds will directly support Dixon Library events, programs, crafts and more.
