DIXON, CA (MPG) - Growth has prompted Castillo's Legal Life Support to relocate to a larger office at 1450 Ary Lane, Suite D, as the business prepares for another milestone year that includes speaking at the Dixon Chamber of Commerce's Women in Business Night and recognition from the Solano County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Owner Lisa Castillo said the need for additional workspace drove the move after outgrowing her previous office.

“At the other office, we had a small lobby where our assistant sat, and I had a table in my office for my son and daughter to help me with paperwork,” said Castillo. “It got cramped.”

Castillo's Legal Life Support is a California-registered Legal Document Assistant business, not a law firm. The company prepares legal documents at a client's direction and assists self-represented litigants in navigating the court system. The business specializes in estate planning, and family law matters while also offering notary services.

The expansion comes as Castillo prepares to host and speak during the Dixon Chamber of Commerce's Women in Business Night from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. July 23. She said her presentation will focus on the company's journey and lessons learned while building the business.

“The chamber is focusing on sharing our story of how we built our businesses, including our journeys, so we can share with others and offer tips for their businesses,” said Castillo.

According to Castillo, being selected to host the event is especially meaningful because of her ties to both the Hispanic and Dixon communities.

“I consider it a great privilege,” she said.

Castillo recently received a $2,500 Business Scholarship Award from the Solano County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, recognition she said arrived at an important time.

“Personally, just being seen and recognized is a really big deal, especially because the Hispanic Chamber covers the whole county,” she said. “Professionally, it happened at the best time. The move cost more than I anticipated, so the scholarship was an amazing boost for us.”'

She said the funding helped offset expenses associated with furnishing the new office, including desks, computers, laptops and information technology support.

Castillo credits much of her success to support from the Dixon community and local business organizations.

“I definitely feel embraced by the community,” she said. “Any time someone has a question or asks for a referral on Dixon 411, I'm always mentioned.”

She also thanked local businesses that have recommended her services and said membership in the Dixon Chamber of Commerce has helped her become more involved in community events.

“When I was just working my business, I would later hear about events,” said Castillo. “Being part of the chamber made me feel responsible for being part of the community.”

Looking ahead, Castillo said she hopes the new office becomes more than a workplace. Her long-term goal is to create a resource center serving both English and Spanish-speaking residents while also providing flexible meeting and workspace for other professionals.

For aspiring entrepreneurs, Castillo encouraged persistence and purpose.

“Never give up on your dream,” she said. “If it's your passion, I believe it will be successful. It's not easy, and it's 120% you, but it's not hard if it's your passion.”

Castillo also expressed gratitude to those who helped shape her business, including her father, whom she credited with inspiring the idea, as well as the Solano County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Dixon Chamber of Commerce and the Dixon community.

“As an office, I'm here because I want to provide an opportunity for everyone, no matter what their financial status is, for asset protection and family protection,” said Castillo.
