DIXON, CA (MPG) - Walmart marked the completion of a significant store transformation at its Dixon Supercenter, E Dorset Drive, representing a continued investment in a modern, more convenient shopping experience for Dixon residents. Walmart officially unveiled the newly transformed Supercenter with a ribbon-cutting, grant presentation ceremony and community celebration on Friday, Aug. 21.

Upgrades to the store include a modernized shopping experience with more products; enhanced assortments across the Fashion and Grocery departments with elevated brands and products, interactive merchandise displays and easier-to-navigate layouts; and expanded parking, remodeled restrooms and improved general merchandise organization, with clearer categorization and a breakdown on every aisle.

The Dixon Walmart Supercenter also features an enhanced pharmacy department. Upgrades focused on access, privacy and convenience, featuring digital touchpoints, updated signage and other changes designed to create a more comfortable and customer-friendly experience.  

There are expanded online pickup and delivery options as well. Best-in-class options include curbside pickup, fast delivery (within three hours), express delivery (as soon as 30 minutes) and InHome, giving customers speed, convenience and control.

The Dixon Supercenter originally opened in 2003 and has been remodeled as a part of a broader modernization effort underway across California by Walmart. In total, 56 Walmart locations in the state are being updated this year. Over the past five years, Walmart has invested $1.1 billion across California, reinforcing its long-term commitment to local communities.

The event also highlighted Walmart's continued investment in the community with a presentation of grants to local organizations totaling $4,000, including: $3,000 to Reach Across America and $1,000 to The Propel Project.

The day of celebration kicked off with the Dixon Police and Fire Departments joining Walmart associates for an official ribbon-cutting and donations to local groups. Customer activities, free samples and in-store experiences occurred throughout the day.
