Just before 6 a.m., Aug. 31, the Dixon Fire Department received a 911 call for a reported residential structure fire in the 5000 block of Putah Creek Road in Winters, within the Dixon Fire Protection District.

DIXON, CA (MPG) - Just before 6 a.m., Aug. 31, the Dixon Fire Department received a 911 call for a reported residential structure fire in the 5000 block of Putah Creek Road in Winters, within the Dixon Fire Protection District.

A first-alarm response was initiated, and upon arrival, crews found an active structure fire and began an offensive attack. Following a roof collapse, crews transitioned to defensive operations to safely continue firefighting efforts. A second alarm was requested, bringing additional resources from neighboring agencies to assist. The fire remains very active, with more than 40 personnel currently on scene working to bring the incident under control. Crews are expected to remain on scene for several hours.

All occupants and pets are safely out of the residence and no injuries have been reported.

Putah Creek Road is currently closed between McNeil Road and Stevenson Bridge Road. Please avoid the area and allow emergency personnel to continue working safely.
