On the Dixon City Council, businessowner Jim Ernest is running for his third term in District 1. He is being challenged by Emily Schroeder, a legislative assistant with the California Hospital Association.

In District 2, Thom Bogue, a Dixon businessowner, is running against Dixon businesswoman Christine Cerna. Bogue, an incumbent, previously served on the City Council from 2010-14 and as mayor from 2016-2020. He lost his re-election bid in 2020 but was elected to City Council again four years ago.

The Dixon Unified School Board has three positions open this election. Incumbents Julian Cuevas, Jewel Fink and John Gabby are on the ballot, as are Michael Ceremello Jr., Phil Lockwood, Michael Monson and Cheryl Sommers.

In the Dixon city clerk’s race, incumbent Lupe Ruiz is running unopposed.

Hamilton is a Dixon resident who is involved with nonprofits, while Kedarisetty is an elementary school teacher.

In the race for the 4th District of the Solano County Board of Supervisors, John Carli, current mayor of Vacaville, is running against Mike Silva, a Vacaville City Councilmember. District 4 includes all of Dixon, a large portion of Vacaville and unincorporated Solano County.
