District, Employees Reach Contract Agreement
After more than a year of bargaining, the Dixon Unified School District and Members of Service Employees International Union Local 1021 reached an agreement on a three-year contract.
The agreement followed mandated mediation sessions last month.
The contract includes an average 9.67 percent wage increase, with some employees receiving a bump of as much as 21 percent. The contract includes wage increases in the first two years based on the median wage of competitor school districts and the Class Comp study. Less-competitive wages will see higher wage increases while more competitive wages will see lower increases, according to SEIU.
The contract also established a $20 minimum wage for DUSD classified employees for the 2026-27 school year.
“After a year of challenging negotiations, we are proud of what we were able to achieve for our members and look forward to future opportunities to continue to advocate for the backbone of DUSD, our classified workers," said Julie Galindo, vice president of the SEIU 1021 Dixon Unified School District chapter.
SEIU Local 1021 members can expect to receive retroactive salary increases at the end of December. The contract runs from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2028.
